Shredded Chicken Tacos

I’d have to so that Mexican food is by far my favorite genre of food. I love going out to eat with friends or family and eating the chips and salsa or Guacamole. I could fill up on that alone. I found simple crockpot recipe for chicken tacos. The original poster says that the chicken that you make can be used in any variety of Mexican dishes from tacos to burritos or enchiladas. All the dish is is 3 simple ingredients. Throw them in the crock pot on high for 4-6 hours or on low for 6-8. You seriously couldn’t ask for an easier or tastier dish.

The picture doesn’t look like much, but thats what you start with.

5 boneless/skinless chicken breast

1 20 oz jar of your favorite salsa

1 1/2 package of taco seasoning (I used taco bell)

Put all of these ingredients into your crock pot give it a quick stir and let sit on high for 4-6 hours or low for 6-8. Once its done cooking grab a fork and the chicken will easily shred apart.

I used soft flower tortillas, lettuce, guacamole (freshly made by yours truly, the recipe can be seen here ), sour cream, and cheese. This made for really simple and really delicious tacos.

On a side note, when I was making this and checking up on it occasionally I thought that there seemed to be too much salsa because I put more than what the original recipe called for and had 1 less chicken breast. However, after I shredded the chicken it came out to be the perfect amount.
